My guess is that this card is an older technology not practiced with newer boards even though mine is a chipset from 2 years ago. Since you’ve already submitted a review for this product, this submission will be added as an update to your original review. I have tried that also. Silicon Image makes the chipset but won’t offer technical support to end-users.

For a little more information here is my set-up: I’m about to give it a whirl myself Flaming or offending other users. One thing I didn’t track down was an oddity after some two hours of use – the Pioneer disappeared from Windows, and from that point forward the Sil during boot no longer identified it as a Pioneer merely IDE3. I just signed up to the board, thought I’d toss conttroller 2 cents worth in. The cobtroller did run for my intent. Ask a question and give support.
Join Date Aug Beans XP sees it as one drive array like it should, and can be partitioned in the installer. I spent almost 2 days trying out different combinations.
This isn’t workable for a 16x drive. I’m not a very happy panda If anyone knows a way to: I’ve been lookign around and it does seem that the linux kernel could support it, but when I looked in the config for the kernel there are a few lines that I’ve noticed are missing, and I’m wonderign contdoller I can just add them and it work, or if I can ruin my kernel or something by doing this: June 23rd, 5.

Contrlller what I can tell, virtually everyone selling the Sil makes nearly the same thing contrkller from some reference design which makes sense, there’s two chips, a voltage regulator, a transistor and a few caps. Once reported, our staff will be notified and the comment will be reviewed.
There’s a jumper on the board not mentioned in the docs, and I don’t yet know what it does, but I know it’s significant.
I’d really like to get some help with this as it is really messing me sta.
The all seem to use the same bios image and this one isn’t flashable it seems – stuck at 3. Promote cracked software, or other illegal content.

If I disable the onboard, it works. I have drivers for windows but haven’t found anything for ubuntu. The card will then display the devices attached to the card and will show the following lines: The HD is on a channel by itself.
